The Frisky Disk is a menstrual disk made of flexible medical-grade silicone. It is worn internally right around the cervix (leeg ng matres, bilog kapag nakapa mo sa dulo ng vaginal canal para siyang ilong) to collect menstrual blood. It cannot be felt when worn, and can hold up to 50mL of menstrual fluid (5x capacity of a regular napkin).

Quick Guide

Sterilize the disk before you first use it, and sterilize it again after your period ends, and right before it starts.

INSERTION

0) WASH YOUR HANDS for at least 20 seconds, including under the nails. 
1) Position. Sit over the toilet or squat in shower.
2) Pinch Frisky Disk in half. It will be as wide as a tampon. You can wet your Frisky Disk with clean water to help insertion.
*Optional: apply 2-3 drops water-based lubricant to tip of disk. DO NOT use any oil- or silicone-based lubricant. 
3) Insert into the vaginal opening. It may feel different, just breathe and gently insert the tip of the Frisky Disk into the vagina. Push horizontally (not upward).
4) Tuck the disk around the cervix, and behind the pubic bone.  The entire disk should be inserted.
*Checking - You should be able to feel your cervix through the thin silicone. The front rim should be secure behind the pubic bone. If you insert a finger to check and it doesn’t feel comfortable, you can gently pull on it to remove and re-insert. 
5) Rinse off and wipe the outside.
6) Wear for up to 8 - 12 hrs. 


REMOVAL

0) Wash your hands again!
1) Position. Remove over the toilet or shower. You can squat so your cervix is closer to the vaginal opening.
2) Hook a finger between the pubic bone and the rim of the Frisky Disk and gently pull. 
3) Dump menstrual blood down the shower drain or toilet and rinse.
4) Wash with the Frisky Disk cleanser for at least 20 seconds and rinse.
5) Re-insert and reuse until your menstruation ends! 


After your period ends, sterilize again, wash, dry, & store inside the pouch. Keep your Frisky Disk in a clean, dry place. 


Tips for sex with the Frisky Disk

💋 As best as you can, empty and wash before any sex or intense foreplay.
💋 Always use lubricant.
💋 It will be easier to remove the disk if you wait 15 - 30 minutes after sex.
